Conservative Best-Selling Author Corsi Takes On Big Oil

Dr. Jerome Corsi, a best-selling conservative author, has published a new book alleging that "greedy" energy companies are lying to the American people about the potential for new sources of oil.

Corsi, at left, will appear on an upcoming editio of my weekly radio show, MTL Washington Update, to discuss his latest book, published Sept. 1: The Great Oil Conspiracy: How the U.S. Government Hid the Nazi Discovery of Abiotic Oil from the American People.

Jerome CorsiJoin co-host Scott Draughon and me as we explore Corsi's thesis on a date to be announced (following postponement of an appearance Sept. 6).

Here is the book background provided by his publisher: At the end of World War II, U.S. intelligence agents confiscated thousands of Nazi documents on what was known as the “Fischer-Tropsch Process”—a series of equations developed by German chemists unlocking the secrets of how oil is formed. When the Nazis took power, Germany had resolved to develop enough synthetic oil to wage war successfully, even without abundant national oil reserves. For decades, these confiscated German documents remained largely ignored in a United States where petro-geologists and petro-chemists were convinced that oil was a “fossil fuel” created by ancient decaying biological debris.

Corsi's thesis is: Clearly, big U.S. oil companies had no financial interest in explaining to the American people that oil was a natural product made on a continual basis deep within the earth. If there were only so many fossils in geological time, there could only be so much oil. Big oil could then charge more for a finite, rapidly disappearing resource than for a natural, renewable, and probably inexhaustible one.

Corsi is senior staff reporter for World Net Daily, where he works as an investigative reporter. In 2004, Corsi co-authored the #1 New York Times bestseller, Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry. The success permitted him to devote full time to writing. In the past five years, he has published five New York Times bestselling non-fiction books. In August 2008, he published The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, which was a #1 New York Times bestseller for a month and remained on the NYT bestseller list for 10 weeks.

Unfit for CommandHis other books include Where's the Birth Certificate? Jerome CorsiIt argues that glaring inconsistencies, blackouts, and outright fabrications in President Obama's life narrative have generated widespread doubts, and that, in fact, a compelling body of evidence says Obama is not a natural-born citizen as is required of all presidents by Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution. Corsi's other books include America for Sale: Fighting the New World Order, Surviving a Global Depression, and Preserving USA Sovereignty.

For nearly 25 years, beginning in 1981, Corsi worked with banks throughout the United States and around the world to develop financial services marketing companies to assist banks in establishing broker/dealers and insurance subsidiaries to provide financial planning products and services to their retail customers.

He is a frequent guest on talk radio shows nationally and has made repeated television appearances on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN News and Fox Business News.

Bloomberg Business Week, Former SEAL’s Book Reveals Classified Information: Pentagon, John Walcott, Sept. 4, 2012. The Pentagon’s chief spokesman said for the first time that a book written by a former Navy SEAL who participated in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden contained classified information. "Sensitive and classified information is contained in the book,” spokesman George Little said today at a Pentagon news conference. The comment escalates a conflict between the Pentagon and the author who wrote No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden” Little has previously said the author, who wrote under the pen-name “Mark Owen,” violated a non-disclosure agreement he signed as a Navy SEAL by not submitting the book for pre-publication review. The author’s attorney, Robert Luskin, has said a 2007 agreement “invites but by no means requires” pre-publication review. Luskin didn’t immediately respond to phone and e-mailed requests for comment today. The book was scheduled for publication today by Dutton, a unit of Penguin Group USA. The author, first identified by Fox News, is Matt Bissonnette, 36, of La Mirada, California, who was a member of the elite counterterrorism SEAL Team Six that killed bin Laden. In the book, Bissonnette says he took steps to ensure that he wouldn’t be inadvertently releasing classified information and that he hired a former special-operations attorney to review the manuscript.
